Hannah Lormore
Director | Choreographer | Writer
Hannah is a New York based director, choreographer, and writer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied theatre and psychology.
Initially trained as a dancer, Hannah expanded her involvement in the arts into theatre during her time in college, focusing heavily on directing. Particularly fascinated by Greek theatre, she developed a year-long project focused on Sophocles' Electra, eventually writing and directing an adaptation of her own.

As a choreographer, Hannah has worked with a wide range of ages and abilities in both musicals and dance pieces. Her most recent work, All Except One, was selected for performance at The Ballet Alliance's 2026 festival in Reno, NV, and her piece Introspection was selected as a finalist in their 2021 Emerging Choreographers Competition.
Artist Statement
As a theatrical artist, my practice centers heavily around collaboration, adaptability, and consent. As a director, choreographer, and writer, I am especially drawn to stories that focus on families, women, behavioral psychology, and community. My background in psychology helps me to guide authenticity within a story, and it also allows me to deeply consider both artists' and audiences' experiences, maximizing impact while minimizing harm. By integrating consent-forward practices, I aim to build environments where artists are able to collaborate safely, fully, and authentically within the collective creative process.
